Sanlam double deducts every time you make a change

I am really running out of patience with Sanlam. It seems very easy for Sanlam to double deduct from our accounts, yet when it comes to correcting the mistake we are expected to wait weeks for a refund. This is now the third time this has happened. Twice in the last six months, once with my wife and now again with me this month. We do not budget for errors. These repeated double deductions place unnecessary financial strain on us and disrupt our monthly planning. What is even more concerning is that these incidents are happening more frequently, not less. It is absolutely unacceptable that customers must carry the burden of administrative errors and then wait extended periods for refunds. I expect this matter to be addressed urgently and I want to know why this happened and who gave permission for this because im highly annoyed

Thank you for your response. For clarity, here are the details: I originally opened a Retirement Annuity telephonically. Throughout the process, I was unable to consistently speak to the same consultant. I was later advised to engage with a broker, who informed me that the RA product I had taken was outdated and that a new one needed to be opened. He then opened a new RA and made the previous one paid up. After changing my banking details, the same debit order amount was deducted from both RAs. The active RA should be:
***x9 The RA that was made paid up, and from which money was incorrectly deducted, is:
***x1 This is extremely confusing and frustrating. If the old RA was made paid up or closed, I need a clear explanation as to:
  1. Why a debit order was still active on that plan
  2. Who authorised the debit order to continue
  3. Why the system allowed both plans to deduct simultaneously
I require an urgent refund of the amount deducted from the paid up RA and a full explanation of how this administrative error occurred. These recurring double deductions are unacceptable and place unnecessary financial strain on us.
