Sanlam DirectAxis overcharging
On 31 January I received a settlement letter for a personal loan, with a quote that was valid for 7 days. The next day, I paid the quoted settlement amount but 10 days later had still not received a paid up letter. When I called again to enquire about the account, I got a settlement quote suggesting that I still owed Sanlam DirectAxis over R700, despite having settled the account as per the settlement letter I received. When I tried to enquire with the call centre, I was placed on hold for almost 30 minutes before I ended the call since the agent was clearly not resolving the issue I had raised.
This conduct is highly ********* and if this issue is not resolved today, I will be escalating this to the National Credit Regulator.
