SANLAM

Good Day

I took out life cover with Sanlam. I than change my banking details. However Sanlam never change my new banking details on there system so every month my debit order doesn't go off from my new banking account. Every month I will contact Sanlam to inform them. Than my policy lapse. Than I reinstated the policy and filled out and signed me and my husband. I'm still struggling since February to reinstatement my policy. I need my policy to be reinstated as I did my part and Sanlam is not doing theres. Also I cancelled my retirement annuity policy with them but still debit my account. I cancelled the policy before it was suppose to go off. But it was still debited and i'm still waiting on my reversal to be done from Sanlam.

I want my life cover to be reinstated and i'm not at work to scan or fill in new forms. I filled and forwarded the forms way before lock down. What if anything should happened to me or my husband. The life cover we took out last year already.

When is my funds going to be reversed into my bank account of the retirement annuity.

This is not right and fare. I'm busy with updating new banking details, to reinstatement, and now no answer from anyone.

Reinstatement my life cover and refund my retirement annuity.

I have all emails and proof of my communications, THIS IS NOT MY FAULT. SO MANY AIRTIME AND TIME GIVEN. And still no debit order went off. No one is taking note of me. They send me from one Sanlam member to another. My policies was in place since last year and i'm struggling since last year. Don't blame the lock down.

I'm very disappointed in Sanlam's service, always refer Sanlam to my clients or family members.

Kind Regards Fianca

Good Day. Thank you for checking up. However Jenny send me an email, I rep**** to the email and no acknowledgement of my email. She send me an email on Wednesday which I rep**** on Wednesday and no response. Her email had no investigation. I attached most of my correspondence with Sanlam to her which she has all the attachments. Please see below my email conducted to her. I need this matter to be resolved as soon as possible. I'm tired of being ignored.

Good Day Jenny I read your email again. I have 2 complaints with Sanlam:
  • My reinstatement of my Life cover
  • My reimbur*****t of my Retirement Annuity
BothSanlam’s not my fault, but I’m kept reliable for fault. I’m also working and also have a busy life. And I’m a person my things need to be in place and to have the peace of mind. That is what Sanlam guarantee and sell to the clients when they want sales. At this stage, I’m very upset and don’t have peace of mind. I’ve attached a few emails, so that you can have a better understanding why I’m tired of phoning and communicating as nothing gets done. Look at the dates and what I emailed to Sanlam and informing them about my banking details and debit order date. I went through most of my emails to at least attached a few for you, regards to correspondence via myself and Sanlam. My plan lapse in December, I requested reinstatement and with new banking details. See email attached. Confirmation of new banking details in January, but no debit order. But I reinstated my plan with my new banking details, see attached emails. IF you cant reinstate my plan, please can you send someone to do my medicals to have a new life cover in place. IF this cant happen, than my plan need to be reinstated because this was not my fault, hence follow the emails I have attached. What upset me the most, I put my life cover for myself and my husband in place, because it will cost me more now, because of his age. Why must I be kept responsible for Sanlam’s poor service. IF Sanlam just had to update my new banking details and took me serious when I phoned every time to say my debit order didn’t go off, please come back to me. Why must I be held reliable for this. Is just easy to say take out a new plan. We in lockdown, if you can send out a nurse or someone to do my medicals and my premiums stay the same, I’ll gladly do it. But if this cant happen than my plan need to be reinstated. I communicated since last year December, than the policy lapse again and had to reinstate again. Because Sanlam never updated my new banking details, and the reinstatement I did in February 2020 ( see attached emails). That was never done, and now you telling me Sanlam only received the forms in May 2020 and its out of the reinstatement period. How can this be, if this was done in February 2020. This is not fair, why must I lose my cover because someone didn’t do their job probably. Furthermore, please can you give me some clarity when Sanlam will reimburse me my Retirement Annuity. As this was cancelled but still debited. And I’m struggling since April to get my money back, and I’m just so tired of trying to get some assistance. See email attached, I questioned the R1000 before it was deducted and cancelled before it was deducted. As mentioned below, I emailed my reinstatement forms in February and March, however Sanlam only received it in May which is outside the reinstatement period. Who’s fault is that? Cant be mine as I did my part. As mentioned, if medicals cant be done at my home, with my same premium amount, Sanlam need to reinstate my policy, cause I did forward my reinstatement forms. See emails attached. Awaiting on your positive responds. Please reply to my Gmail email address. Kind Regards Fianca
