Sanlam Corporate Delaying Provident Fund Payout & Poor Service

I am extremely frustrated with the service I have received from Sanlam Corporate regarding my provident fund payout.

I resigned from my previous employer in May 2026, with my last working day being 22 June 2026. My employer submitted all the required documents, yet to date I have not received my funds.

Instead, I was informed that my new employer’s provident fund required a Rotation of Transfer (ROT), which was duly sent. Despite this, there has still been no progress or payout.

I then personally visited the Sanlam Corporate offices in Centurion, where I requested that, due to the ongoing delays, my provident fund be partially preserved and that my vested portion be paid out to me. I was advised to send an email confirming this instruction, which I did on 17 August 2026.

However, I have not received any confirmation or feedback regarding my request. To make matters worse, the consultant who was assisting me at the Centurion office is now ignoring and has blocked my calls.

At this point, I feel like I am being taken from pillar to post and that my money is being withheld without proper explanation.

I am requesting:

Immediate feedback on the status of my provident fund Confirmation that my instruction (partial preservation and vested payout) has been received and is being processed A clear timeline for when I will receive my funds

If this matter is not resolved urgently, I will have no choice but to escalate it to the Pension Funds Adjudicator.

This level of service is unacceptable.

Thank you for your response and for acknowledging my complaint.
However, I must express my ongoing concern regarding the lack of direct and effective communication prior to this stage. My previous attempts to resolve this matter via email and in-person visits did not receive the same level of attention or urgency.
While I appreciate that the complaint has now been referred to Sanlam Corporate, I would like to request clear feedback on timelines for resolution and the specific steps being taken to address my matter.
I look forward to a substantive response and a proper resolution of my query.
Kind regards,
Sicelokuhle Majeng

I have finally received payment of my vested benefit from Sanlam after a two-month delay. The payment was processed following my escalation of the matter to the adjudicator.
