Sanlam
My father passed away in 2022, he had 2 investments at Sanlam. Days before my father passed my extended family members may have collaborated with certain consults to change my father’s beneficiaries for their benefit. When i submitted a claim alongside all the documents, they claimed that one of these investments do not exist. When i checked on their website (tracking claim progress) the investment which they claim to not exist is listed however it appeared as “cancelled…no benefits payable”. I call and they choose not to respond. When i called in on Monday they verbally acknowledged the recipient pf the LOE. I was notified that this pay-out process will take between 5-10 working days. Today is Friday and the progress still illustrates that i have not submitted the LOE and its corresponding documents. The investment in question reveals a 2022 payout. When i enquired, the consultant said the policy never existed.
Furthermore i called to enquire about the policy which they claimed did not exist. They have not provided me with any information regarding the claim instead I was told that they do not know anything about the policy. I have reason to suspect there could be Insurance ***** prevailing with regards to this specific matter.
kindly assist and possibly refer me to an Insurance investigator.
