Safrican, How do i ADOPT my own child?

<div>With my original application for the funeral policy i've requested that my daughter be added to the policy. Never was i advised that they can't because her surname is different than my new surname (i got married again), so i just assumed all in order as never have i received a participant certificate from Safrican since date of inception. Earlier this year i've requested a participation certificate just to make sure that all is still in order, etc. To my surprise my daughter was not on the policy. When i queried this i was advised that i can't add her to my policy since her surname is not the same as mine and that i need to submit my medical aid participant certificate and/or unabridged birth certificate. I do not have time to go to home affairs to apply for an unabridged birth certificate so i submitted my medical aid participation certificate where my daughter is a dependant and i submitted my marriage certificate which shows my previous surname, i even submitted my divorce agreement where it shows that my daughter is my child and that i had custody of the child. Now Safrican is telling me that she is NOT my child so she cannot be added to the funeral policy unless i ADOPT her because she BELONGS (yes, that is the word they used) to my ex-husband!!!!!&nbsp; I have never heard of such nonsense in my entire life. And nobody has the courtesy/decency to phone me to have a discussion about this, i only get this gibberish emails the whole time telling me that she is not my child. So i can cover my step-child without any whoo-ha's but i'm not allowed to cover my BIOLOGICAL child.....HHHOOOWWWWWW is this possible??????!!!!!!!!!</div>
