Refusal of full payment and high penalties on funeral claim

I claimed for my brother in law 2 weeks ago. When I claimed first week of November 2025, assupol said I was behind with one premium and I should have paid before claiming and they said they will penalise me. When my claim came through, the penalty was half of the actual funeral cover (50%).

How can Assupol take such a big percentage for only one premium missed and that is too much. Although they paid, I'm still not happy and do not understand how they calculated the penalty be 50% on 1 premium missed.

If this is how customers are treated when it comes to claiming, it's not fair and hard to recommend and refer people to assupol life.
