Really useless Sanlam!

My limited experience with Sanlam regarding a Retirement Annuity has been extremely poor. Firstly, being told that you can only go through an assigned advisor with Sanlam doesn't help when the advisor themself completely fails to get back to you. Then when said advisor fails to enact changes i.e. reducing monthly contributions during a financial crisis caused by a pandemic, it becomes even worse. Then finally being told that you have to pay a penalty for reducing your monthly contribution is the nail in the coffin... The stress caused by Sanlam during an already difficult time is not what you need at all. If I could go back I would've never taken a policy out with Sanlam. Unfortunately I've been told by them that it can take up to 180 days to move one's RA to a different provider. Terrible service!
