Premium Re-rate After 24 Days of Cover/Zero Service!!!

So, on the 22/11 my policy with Sanlam Indie takes effect. on the 15/12, literally 24 days later I receipt a notice that my premium has been adjusted in accordance with the yearly re-rate and that my premium will increase by +/- 7%. On the 15/12 I mailed ***, no response. I followed up on same on the 16/12. On the 21/12 I mail ***, still no response, and have followed up again with them on the 25/12. Shocking service. If this is the service I am getting in respect of a simple premium query, I am perturbed to consider the service I might receive should I need to claim.

So this is the generic response I receive:
"Sanlam Indie rerates client's premiums at the start of each year. There are two reasons why we rerate the premium:

Clients will be a year older in the new year. As you get older, the risk that you will claim increases, and because your premiums are risk related the premium is adjusted accordingly.

We also rerate your premium to adjust for expense inflation and for clients who want their cover amounts to grow. When you first get a Sanlam Indie quote, your premiums and payout amounts are based on “today’s money”. But because of inflation, the same amount of money will be worth less in the future, which means most clients would opt to increase their payout as the years go by to make sure they always have enough cover. "

So basically either I accept the re-rate or they decrease my cover? Why is this information now outlined to the user at the start of the policy? I would then have only taken this policy out now in January 2021. Additionally re-rates should account for specific user profiles - claims/loss ratios/risks etc - you don't have sufficient history on me to justify your increase? Additionally your proposed increase is not even in line with current inflation? Maybe its better I cancel and move my policy now before something happens to me and I need to claim and I am then left answering to generic un-substantiated automated responses.
