Prejudice and *****
I strongly feel that Sanlam is prejuduced and discriminatory And by this you are making my condition worse. When I was claiming for this benefit, you indicated that you want an independent doctor because you insinuated you didn't trust my doctor. The other reason Sanlam came to a decision that they need an independent doctor was that the policy must be in force. I even asked how can the policy be in force if I am not working because it gets paid from my salary. So for the benefits/policy to be active it must still be paid for ,then how was it going to be paid for if I was terminated at work before Sanlam"s payout. That is when Sanlam decided whether I was working or not it was irrelevant, the main issue was to get the independent doctor to verify my incapacity but now they are going back on their word. I am sick and tired of their games.
I have comp**** to everything Sanlam wanted now that it is time to do right by me, Sanlam tries every angle to evade/avoid compensating me.We have been going round in circle for too long with this matter and I have been very patient. It's almost a year now without any favourable outcome. First they said I don't qualify for the sick benefit yet it was in my policy contract but I let that go, and now this?????? Whether I am still working or not was not an issue and you still get your premiums, the issue is that: I am incapacitated I cannot work..."your own independent doctor" even made that conclusion.
At this stage I feel like asking for all the premiums I have paid so far and we part ways because the very company that I thought will protect me when I cannot work is also the reason my condition has escalated. This is not fair, I'm paying almost R2000,00 a month for this policy.
It is clear that if I die tomorrow my beneficiaries will not get a cent, they will be sent from pillar to post, so Sanlam can avoid paying.
