Ongoing Delays and Lack of Communication Regarding My Claim

I am writing to express my growing frustration regarding the handling of my claim, which I submitted nearly a year ago. It is now two weeks short of a full year, and I am still receiving no proactive updates or progress on the matter.

Throughout this process, I have had to initiate every follow-up myself, often waiting a week or more for responses. Most recently, I followed up only to be told that my SARS registration letter was still outstanding—information that had not previously been requested. Had I not reached out again, this requirement would have continued to go unnoticed, further delaying the process.

After submitting the requested document, I received a response stating:

"We do apologise for the delay. Our IT department has confirmed that they are still busy with the tax error fix and will confirm when we can proceed with your claim."

This response reflects a lack of urgency, accountability, and consideration for how these prolonged delays affect me. It is disappointing to experience such disregard for customer experience and time.

I respectfully request a clear and detailed update on the status of my claim, including:

The specific issue causing the tax error,

What steps are being taken to resolve it,

An estimated timeframe for completion and payment, and

Contact details of someone senior who can take accountability moving forward.

I trust that this matter will now be treated with the seriousness and urgency it deserves.

After nearly a year, this lack of progress is unacceptable. I expect a detailed response and resolution timeline within five working days.

Most concerning is the ongoing handling of this matter by Kim Sparks, who has, frankly, been dragging her feet to date. Responses take days or even weeks, even crucial information
