no integrity
I took out a life policy and advised the broker that my debit order date should be the 25th. He did it for the 23rd when I notified him about the error he said he will fix it but never did as a result the policy lapsed. When I called Sanlam Customer Service they are saying I must pay R2700 because of the incompetence of their staff.

11 Mar 2015, 16:59Hello thembi.mbangu,
I acknowledge receipt of your complaint.
Your plan incepted on 23 September 2014 and Sanlam only received the first premium. Sanlam did not receive premiums for the past 6 months. On the application form which you signed, the debit order deduction date was filled in for the 23rd of each month. We unfortunately never received an instruction to change the deduction date.
To reinstate the plan, which Sanlam is willing to do, you will have to pay in the outstanding premiums for the past 6 months. Sanlam wants to put you in the same position that you would have been in, had the premiums been received for the past 6 months.
Please contact the Client Contact Centre for reinstatement of the plan.
Kind regards
