No detailed statement provident fund
Our company have their provident fund with Sanlam I received a balance a few weeks ago which by my calculation is half of what it should be. So I asked Sanlam for a contribution statement so I could see what I have put in monthly and the interest etc... I was told ok but they have to do a reconciliation on my account a few days later I receive en email saying the reconciliation has been done and my new balance is R2000 more than the balance they gave me last week. I say ok thanks but could I still have a breakdown and contribution statement to which I was told they can't give me one as she has to see how to export it into excell.

I thought the provident fund is my fund in its own account
Not a pool account as per the act. Am I not entitled to a detailed statement every 6 months of I ask for one.

Why can Sanlam not let me see what I have put in and how much interest their fund has been getting.

My husband's old mutual he just went online registered and he can see everything.

I have received very poor service and am concerned if my money is actually being invested properly.

Leigh
