25 Apr 2025, 13:11Good day,
I recently made a follow up, and no one bothered to respond to me. Am fed up with this matter.
I feel like am now battling depression and no one is taking me seriously. I know your offiices.
My Pension fund which I contributed into for years, was taken away from me, and no one even bothered to afford me an opportunity to be heard, or to assess my financial situation to find out how this matter is impacting me.
South Africa will witness something that is going to send shockwaves for generations to come. Someone must teach you a guys a lesson. Am ready now. Am tired of being taken advantage of.
The only thing keeping me sane, is my mom. If anything happens to her, I will put the blame on you SANLAM, SASRIA, PENSION FUND ADJUDICATOR and everyone who was involved in this case.
You might think this is a joke, but am not joking. Someone somewhere must teach you guys a lesson.

14 May 2025, 19:28Thank you,
This is the email that I sent this evening,
Good day,
How long do I have to wait to receive a proper response? It's been more than 30 days now since I requested a breakdown. You must escalate to top management, and tell them I want to have a physical meeting.
Everyday when you send an email, you tell me the same thing. You should be ashamed of yourself. Complaints are meant to be resolved within a proper time frame.
Am not close to being dumb, you can't keep on saying the same thing and expect me to be happy.
Your duty is to resolve complaints, and you resolve complaints by making sure that you have proper measures in place to ensure that complaints are resolved within a proper time frame.
Your email, stating that you are still waiting for feedback from the relevant department is an insult to me. It's been more than 30 days waiting for feedback.
If this relevant department you keep on mentioning is not responding, as a Complaints Officer, you are supposed to have reasons as to why they are not responding, if the reasons received are not valid, then you escalate to top management, even to the CEO.
The following is still awaited from your offices;

- How the authenticity of the employer debt was validated by Sanlam
- Measures taken by Sanlam to ensure that the employer debt was genuine and the figures were valid

- Why Sanlam never requested for my input on the employer debt as a pension fund member

- Why my rights as a pension fund member were violated

The employer verified that you engaged in *****, leading to a loss of R142,495.00 for them, and they have hired a lawyer from BMK Attorneys (see attached). The attorneys sent a demand letter addressed to you, along with a memorandum and a memo (see attached)
- What about my Verification, did you ask me if these allegations were true? Does it mean that the employers allegations against an employee are final, and the employee doesnt have a right to question anything, as long as the employer has put an allegation, then its enough. - How is the letter of demand has to do with the case? does it mean that if an employer puts an allegation that an employee committed ***** and sends out a letter of demand, then that is enough for the money to be paid out to the employer?- As a pension fund member, does it mean that I dont have any rights? and what ever the employer says, goes. - What measures did you deploy in your initial assessment to confirm that Indeed ***** was committed.- How did you verify the amount that was claimed by the employer? does it mean that any amount which is claimed by the employer is final, and the pension fund member has no right to question or to dispute anything.- Does it mean that your pension fund policies only allow one party which is the employer to verify anything and not the member?
From 6 November 2023 to 22 November 2023, Sanlam sent an SMS communication asking you to provide the Admission of Liability Advice, but you did not respond. We have provided evidence of correspondence. The number you are using to raise your complaint on social media is the same one we used to reach out to you for the Admission of Liability Advice; however, you did not reply concerning section 37D
- What is an admission of liability as per your own corporate wording and understanding? Because as per my own understanding, it means that am admitting liabililtiy. - Why would you request an admission of liability when my own facts were not requested by SANLAM? - Why would you request for liability when the case itself has been disputed by myself?
Answer: Where did the PFA Office confirm that their order represented facts and where did the court confirm that a default court order represents facts. The court order you referring to, is called a default court order which is granted irregardless of the merits. The summons were not received, hence I couldnt defend them.

- Your complaint was received from the Pension Fund Adjudicator (PFA) on 11 September 2023. In your grievance, you raised issues regarding the postponement of your benefit payments, and you verified that you were terminated. Our reply to the PFA was submitted on 4 October 2023. You were notified in the PFA response that Sanlam will disburse the benefits from record ***7, as Sanlam obtained a letter dated 8 September 2023 from the employer directing the Fund's administrator to retain the benefits for section 14 record ***5. The employer verified that you engaged in *****, leading to a loss of R142,495.00 for them, and they have hired a lawyer from BMK Attorneys (see attached). The attorneys sent a demand letter addressed to you, along with a memorandum and a memo (see attached).

Because as per my own understanding, it means that am admitting liabililtiy. - Why would you request an admission of liability when my own facts were not requested by SANLAM? - Why would you request for liability when the case itself has been disputed by myself?

The court order you referring to, is called a default court order which is granted irregardless of the merits. The summons were not received, hence I couldnt defend them.

So no one is going to respond to my complain? Is this how your treat your clients with Zero accontability?
Once I have money, am going to take SANLAM to court and have your pension fund license withdrawn. You are garbage and idiots.
