Legal fees claim declined

hope you are well, I made a claim with Sanlam in 2021 however it has been a lengthy emotional process as Sanlam has given me a hassle with regards to paying out the claim,my attorneys ) has been a great help with the claim and I assume Sanlam was aware of this and is also aware of financial strain of the legal costs associated with claims. I sent an email below to recover the legal costs that each beneficiary had to pay as soon as the claim paid however as mentioned I made payment for myself (unapproved benefit) and (approved benefit) I made payment from my own portion of payout and paid for the minor as the attorneys were supposed to be paid certain fees from each payout of the beneficiary as this is not an estate case,we couldn’t request it from the trustee as we had to open the fund first before the disbur*****t and now the fund has declined the claim. I am so dissatisfied once again by Sanlam. I assume you are very much aware of how legal costs are and I am really failing to understand how this should be a hassle.On that note (unapproved benefit) hasnt been paid out as well and I am at the point whereby I even regret giving Sanlam a benefit of the doubt after all the emotional and financial stress it caused me after the loss of my sister. I should have considered another fund for the minor as now already the fund is causing me more problems as if the costs were incurred for something else and not this said claims,if initially Sanlam approved the claims as per nomination form I wouldn’t have incurred legal expenses.Its so sad and frustrating that the claim is declined based on facts that the fund doesn’t cover that but is overruling the fact that the cost were incurred by the lengthy process of the first decline on my claim. I have mixed emotions regarding this matter and request assistance and appeal of my claim.
