Late Estate D.H.Brink

My late mother passed away in 2009 and Sanlam was the appointed executors of her estate and with all the complications involved, the estate was wound up within 12 months. In March 2022 we were contacted by Glacier informing ourselves that there was an unclaimed provident fund which needed to be paid out to my mothers heirs. We informed them in writing that the executors of the estate was Sanlam. After 6 months of hearing nothing from Sanlam, I then contacted them in Cape Town to do a follow up and found out that nothing had been done on the matter and only when I started to complain did the slow wheels of motion start by Sanlam. Thereafter one of the other excuses started and a further 18 months down the line after dealing with Sanlam and following up the matter weekly with the person handling the matter and also taking the matter into my own hands by dealing with their tax consultants DCA Group who it took 4 months to obtain the Tax Clearance from SARS, the matter has still not been resolved. I just find it very disappointing that a huge conglomerate like Sanlam cannot resolve a simple matter of an unclaimed provident fund within a reasonable period of time due to a total lack of service for which they are being paid to do. I just wanted to highlight this matter to all of it's customers what to expect.
