25 Jul 2023, 15:58Good day Bongiwe, thank you for your review. Unfortunately, Assupol cannot assist with the claim payment for the passing of your sister after the policy has lapsed. We have informed you of the premium arrears, so that you can make arrangements for payment of the policy, prior to its lapse. Regards, Assupol

26 Jul 2023, 08:35Hi, i did not get the messages you sent as you had my previous work email and my phone had problems, there were no other communication Assupol tried to do seeing that i did not respond on both communication, we give you business in time of you need business, but you do not take good care of your clients and you do not care for us as clients as long Assupol benefits on our money. Seeing that i was no longer working and i am struggling to have communication with the company you should have send me a letter via post, that was not done, you are quick to say your company did everything and it is not the first time Assupol taking my money and not returning it back this time as big as your company is you should consider my situation, i even sent Assupol my contract to show them that i have started working and now i have access to communicate with you, but you are letting me down again, check my cases you will see with the money of the other policy this 4 months you are talking about can be covered by it and my policy would not have lapsed after so many years been paying it, you are not doing me a favour by doing that you are keeping Assupol in good business to have more clients, i will never recommend for anyone to take policy from you because you are not even giving your clients that 6 months holiday payment in other insurance companies is 12 months, Assupol failed me dismal.

26 Jul 2023, 08:43Good day Bongiwe, Assupol have sent communication to your preferred communication methods (cell phone number / e-mail address) as provided to us when the policy started, but were never informed by you that these have changed. It is important to remember that some of the most important obligations that a policyholder has in terms of this insurance agreement is to ensure regular premium payment and to inform the insurer of any change in contact detail. Regrettably, Assupol cannot assist. We have fulfilled our duty as insurer to inform you of the missed premiums and lapse of the policies to your contact detail on record.

26 Jul 2023, 08:56Good day Assupol yes you did that as i mentioned, are you telling me you did sent me the letter to my postal address as you also have that and never changed, you did not, but you want to shift the blame to me and as a company don't want to take responsibility on your side, seeing my history with my payments and reliable client for all these years send a letter also to my postal address as the other way of communication to your clients as you see that i am not responding to other communication would have been better, but because you don't care as long you are going to benefit as a company it is none of your business, it is easy to say what you are saying because you ae benefiting and i am the one who is loosing all those premiums of those years.

26 Jul 2023, 09:08Good day, we have emailed the lapse notification letter to you at the email address we had on record at the time, ***, which was also the preferred method of communication you requested. This was in ADDITION to the SMS's sent to your current cellphone number. In addition, an e-mail was sent to you on 04 April 2023, to explain the consequences of premium non payment to ***. I do have empathy with the circumstances you find yourself in, but we can unfortunately not consider the claim.

26 Jul 2023, 09:49I fail to understand Assupol, going for the last option of the policy before the period of 6 months not getting response from the client and understanding the situation and then decide the policy to laspe at least 6 months I can understand and keep quiet as the waiting period is 6 months for especially your reliable client who never missed one payment giving you business all these years and just throw me like that in the time of need.

26 Jul 2023, 10:23We note your response and confirm that we can unfortunately not consider payment of the claim for the death that occurred after the lapse of the policy. Assupol did not receive any premium payments for January, February and March 2023 and the policy lapsed on 31 March 2023. We have informed you of this and have given you ample opportunity to reinstate the policy and correct the matter. Unfortunately, this request was never received from you.
