Lapsed policy

I took out a policy with sanlam sky 3 years ago and i have been paying for it up until i lost my job in 2017 hence i app**** for premium holiday then after that i continue paying premiums normaly. This year in April i lost my job again and coudnt pay for it.I wrote them an email informing them that i lost my job but i dont want my policy to stop . Last week i received a letter conferming that my policy has lapsed and if i want to reinstate it 6 months waiting period will app**** and also i must pay all missed premiums according to FSB insurancecompanies must allow you to reinstate a lapsed policy without any underwriting/waiting priod and you have 30 days to do that.I want my policy to be reinstated without any waiting period or else i want all my premiums that i have been paying for past 3 years hence they dont want to reinstate my policy without waiting period. If they fail to do so i dont have a choice but to take my business somewher else as i bealive that they dont value their potentail clients and also i will involve Ombadsment in this matter
