I would have thought you would have shown a little compassion

My dad passed away just over 2 weeks ago he had a pension with Sanlam private funds he has no other family except me I am 59 almost 60 and my mom passed away when I was six so basically he looked after me and for the past twenty odd years I have been looking after him so I basically took over where his wife and did all the things for him he passed away with alzheimers and pneumonia. I got a letter from my doctor explaining that I have been the one driving him backwards and forward to doctors, hospitals etc etc and a letter from a psychiatrist explaining that I cannot work and am semi invalid I asked Sanlam if it would be possible for them to transfer his small pension to me as I have been the carer for him and looked after his when he developed alzheimers until I had four nervous breakdowns and couldn't cope no more then I homed him at my expense they turned me down
