I WANT MY MONEY BACK"

Incompetence and carelessness is the order of the day at sanlam icover and it's costing us the clients. I had a funeral cover (icover) with them to which I later changed the banking details. I informed them of the change of banking details to which they responded they had updated them. Three or so months past and no debit orders were going through until I saw another interesting product of theirs and purchased it (sanlam indie) whilst still trying to get hold of sanlam to seek clarity of what was the issue with the debit orders for the icover policy because if I was in the wrong, skipping 3 consecutive premiums they'd have annulled the policy because it's in their terms and conditions but now that they had gone on to put Finbond and not FNB as my bank for the account number I provided which rendered them unable to debit I must now suffer, whereas my email was clear, the details stood there with my ID number, Bank name and bank account number but they still went on to log my bank as Finbond. Such incompetence.

Now i want the premiums I have been paying for over 6 months back, since I now have the sanlam indie policy I am told I must carry on with the policy (the sanlam icover) which I am no longer interested because of their incompetence. I do not see why I should be held liable for such. I want my money back because I on my part did what was necessary to do and that was informing them of a change in some details of the policy (banking details) but hey some imbicile in front of a computer decided to put Finbond instead of FNB as my bank. It is quite disappointing that a company of such magnitude could harbor such talentless people in their employ. Bottom line is "I WANT MY MONEY BACK"..

I could only hope that the response from where the matter has been escalated speaks to my reimbur*****t and not the inaudible stories of having to carry on with the policy. Why would I when I already have a Sanlam Indie policy??

I say this and i reiterate, if I was in the wrong, and if I was the one who purposefully skipped the payments then I'd concede the cessation of the policy so please revert back to me with a request for banking details where you will pay my money.

I think it' proper I forward you my bank account details because right I believe or rather that is the only thing i should be receiving communications about. I honestly am less interested in hearing "I should continue with the policy" (icover) because I don't wish to and with good reason that I now have again a Sanlam policy, the Sanlam Indie...
