Good afternoon Sanlam

I have Retirement Annuity with Sanlam its not worth a whole lot (75 000.00).

With the pandemic my Wife and I have zero income.We have tried all funding options with no luck.My wife is commission earner and freelance Make up artist.I have started my own company just before lockdown and its on hold till pandemic is over.

Will I be able to cancel my Retirement Annuity before hand as I know by law you cant but under the Disaster Management Act have they maybe changed or will they maybe change the law.As I havn't paid towards that Annuity for about 3 to 4 years.My problem is that I need that money to provide for my family as things are seriously bad with no income since Covid-19 was dedected in South Africa.I understand that the fund must be R7000.00 or less.Surely the regulation can be changed to try and assist more families.

I am even willing make a donation towards the Enca fund to try and help people that might be in a similar position that I am in.

Do you perhaps know if Sanlam can do something for me during this time?

Hopefully Sanlam can assist or maybe the law has changed.
