Gap Cover with no benefits

I have a Sanlam Gap Cover Policy since March 2017. For the first time since taking out my policy, I submitted a claim for a co-payment which I had to pay upfront when my husband was admitted into hospital for a Gastroscopy. After 10 days of submitting my claim, I received a claim rejection email. The reason for the rejection is nonsensical. According to their website, the Gap Cover Policy covers co-payments. Sanlam is trying their luck with me but I will not accept this. I am within my rights to receive reimbur*****t for this co-payment. Should Sanlam not deliver on their promise as per their policy details, I wil ldefinitely be taking this the legal way.

Well is seems as though I was asked to liaise with the consultant so that it wouldn't become public knowledge that my claim is still being rejected. I am not at all satisfied with the outcome of my dispute. I believe that Sanlam has been misleading in the description of their services. I will not rest until this matter is resolved. The reason for having to take out a Gap Cover Policy is so that individuals are not left with enormous debt as a result of medical issues. I was never informed that a hospital co-payment does not qualify to be covered by Gap Cover. Sanlam are cheating me and I will take this matter further until I am reimbursed. And if not, I will be sure to let everyone know that Sanlam Gap Cover does not provide the services it eludes to. Further to this, I will be cancelling my Gap Cover and filing a suit to have my premiums returned to me.
