Frustrated due to 43 days of waiting for my provident fund
I am extremely frustrated with the delay in processing my provident fund claim with Sanlam.
My Admission of Liability was submitted in October 2025, and all required documents have been provided. Despite this, my claim has still not been submitted to SARS for a tax directive.
I have now been waiting 43 days, which exceeds the 30 working day turnaround time communicated.
I have followed up multiple times and even escalated the matter to the FSCA, yet there is still no clear timeline or resolution.
This delay is unacceptable, and I request urgent intervention to have my claim processed and payment released without further delay.

26 Mar 2026, 13:01Dear Sanlam Client Care,
Thank you for your reply. I understand that my claim has been escalated. However, it has now been 43 days since submission, and I have not received any update regarding the next steps or expected timeline for resolution.
Could you please provide a concrete update on the status of my claim (Reference Number: wf_***1) and an estimated timeframe for when it will be processed?
Your prompt response will be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Learongwa Mo****di

26 Mar 2026, 15:36I am extremely concerned about the ongoing delay in processing my provident fund claim (Ref: wf_***1).
It has now been 43 days, and I have been informed that my claim has still not been submitted to the South African Revenue Service (SARS) for a tax directive.
Despite being told that the matter has been escalated, there has been no clear timeline provided for when this critical step will be completed. This delay is unacceptable and far beyond the standard processing timeframe.
I am requesting urgent intervention and a clear commitment on:
When my claim will be submitted to SARS
When I can expect finalisation and payment
I would appreciate immediate attention to this matter, as I have already waited well beyond the expected timeframe.
