I have an income protector with Sanlam that has no exclusions from Jan 2016 .I have made a few claims to date. Issue of contention currently is a claim for 6 weeks Jan 2018 after undergoing abdominal surgery. Claim lodged on the 4.9.2018 and numerous information requested and then 2 months later I am advised that claim is repudiated because I didn't disclose previous surgery (false) . Sanlam has failed to provide me with the record of advice. I spend an excess of R12 000 per month on your products from RA to life cover etc and if this is how you do business then one has to look for similar products elsewhere. You cannot apply an exclusion retrospectively and I have requested the documents where I have failed to disclose. I will be taking the matter further if I don't get a response from Sanlam
