Failure to meet expectations
I had sent through a gap cover claim 1st week of July. After numerous calls to the call centre the decision on the claim came through in the middle of August saying the claim is rejected as it the policy to not pay for any claim that is not covered by medical aid. I had contacted the call centre again to advise that the bill was paid by the medical and what was sent to Sanlam was the shortfall. I have contacted the call centre, sent a number of emails and escalated the matter and up to this date no one has been in contact with me even after ensuring they would call back. You can never speak to a manager as they are always busy and there is no direct line going to the claim agents. How can a reputable company behave so unprofessional???????
We are mindful that the client experience was not perhaps what you expected. We are committed to change it. It is for this purpose that your case was now escalated to the relevant department for urgent attention. Note that a consultant will make direct contact with you and make sure you get the direct contact detail of the consultant. We would encourage you that all future dealings relating to this matter should be handled directly with this consultant for a more expeditious handling of your case.
Kind regards
