Donot go for Assupol

After reviewing the ratings and complaints about Assupol on HelloPeter, I am not surprised by the poor service this company provides, and I have serious doubts about receiving any assistance.

To anyone considering taking out a policy with Assupol, I strongly advise against it unless you are prepared to take out a loan for funeral arrangements. They do not honor their promised 24-48 hour waiting period for claims.

It has been two weeks since I submitted my claim to Assupol, and I have yet to receive any funds or communication. As a result, I had to take out a loan to cover some of the funeral costs.

I also plan to share my complaint across all social media platforms. Honestly, even the one-star rating they currently have does not accurately reflect the level of service they truly deserve. They even removed my complaint without providing any assistance. My next step will be to file a formal complaint with the National Financial Ombud Scheme (NFOSA) and Sanlam.
