Do not take out a policy with Sanlam!!!

Do not take a policy out with Sanlam!! Worst Insurance Company I have ever dealt with. My father passed in 2006 and I never knew he had a policy with Sanlam, It took Sanlam 17 years to finally get in touch with my mother in order for his policy to pay out, however, it has been a journey from hell for her due to the incompetence of Sanlam to resolve this matter, my mother is 61 years old and retired and is technologically challenged and has been passed from agent to agent to get the matter resolved, numerous documentation has been provided and they are now reluctant to pay out a small amount of money to my mother because they demand a Tax number of my father that has been deceased for 17 years. One cannot create a Tax number for a dead person... My poor mother was very hopeful that she could get this small amount of money but Sanlam has made sure to break her dreams and more become the nightmare for her in this matter.
