Delayed Payout on a Partial Withdrawal Request

HIGHLY FRUSTRATING - PATHETIC AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - LACK OF COMMUNICATION

Service Request Number ***9

This request was telephonically discussed on the 23 March 2015. An email was received from Sanlam on the 23 April and on the 01 April 2015 to the necessary documents requested was furnished.

I was then advised by Sanlam that the bank statement furnished is not sufficient proof of the policy holder. On the 14 April I resent Sanlam an updated bank statement of the policy holder.I did not hear from Sanlam thereafter. On the 22 April i sent another email to Sanlam requesting a status update.
On the 24 April an email and call from Sean Jefferies was received from Sanlam to advise that he updated bank statement is not sufficient identification to link it to the policyholder. They then advised that a letter from the bank confirming the holders name, id number and bank account details is what is required.
I was horrified...this should have been pointed out to us from the outset.
On the 24 April I promptly emailed them a letter from the bank. I sent a follow up email today 06/05/15 to find out the status of my payout.
To date I have not received any feedback or response.
