I would give Sanlam 0 stars but unfortunately that rating doesn't exist and I have to settle for 1-star. I changed jobs in September of last year, and my Provident Fund was transferred to a Sanlam Provident Preservation Fund . Since June 2023, I have been attempting to transfer those funds from the Sanlam Provident Preservation Fund to the Sanlam Umbrella Provident Fund with my current employer. I submitted the S14 transfer and necessary documents and I was told that the receiving fund's administrator needed to authorize the transfer. No one seems to be aware of the procedure if both funds are held by Sanlam.. I've been passed from pillar to post with no apparent resolution. I have spoken with over a dozen consultants regarding this matter, with Rael and Sasekani being the most recent. In July, the issue was once escalated to Yvette Daniels(a "Senior Administrator"), to no avail. I am at my wit's end and am turning to this platform in the hopes that Sanlam will provide a solution. I am contemplating withdrawing and risk incurring a tax penalty of 18%.
