Claim *** | UNHAPPY CLIENT

I lodged a claim on the 05th Feb and to this day it is not finalised. The automated response advised that the turn around time was 8 hours which was never adhered to! The claim form also advises that the processes takes 7 days to finalise and same is also not adhered to. I called and made numerous follow ups and was promised that all was to be done today - ( from phone call follow up last week) which is the 13th day since submission of the documents. to my shock i received a responses advising of the backlog i feel that its blatant excuse, if one is experiencing a backlog, then an effort should be in place and work extra hours or even weekends to correct the backlog. My last email sent at 12:25 PM is still not responded to. This is not good customer service.

Reviewer Update
Good day I was called and advised that i will get an email which i did, HOWEVER THE CONTENTS OF THE EMAIL RECEIVED ARE NOT SATISFACTORY, the amount claimed and the amount on the remittance are totally different! There is no explanation on the email just a standard email advising that the INCORRECT AMOUNT - "Your claim has been authorised and will be paid into your bank account within the next 48 working hours." "Please find attached your claim remittance for providers processed." I responded to the email to Kercia Charles the Executive Office Manager at 12:47 PM and still awaiting a response. My outstanding Medical Bill is R 18 025.47 Hospital R 5 333.62 Anaesthetist R 6 199.94 Surgeon R 7 191.91 R 18 025.47 I Need to know how Sanlam Gap Cover got to R 4 269,00 as the settlement amount and who is liable to pay the rest of the amount, i was told my Gap cover was for cover for all that medical aid failed to settle. Sanlam Gap Cover seems to be a disappointment, i am considering cancelling the cover, this is my first claim in the 3 years i have been paying my premium.
