Changing an email with Sanlam is like pulling teeth!

I sent Sanlam an email, asking for a tax certificate and their reply was that they did not recognise my email address and that I should register online to change it. I did try to register with Sanlam but they do not have my phone number listed anywhere either, so they could not send me a code to confirm who I am (no correct email and no phone number). I then spoke to someone on the phone and they assured me that they would update my email address (they did say it would take a few days). I have been trying to change my email address with Sanlam for the last 2 weeks and sent them numerous emails but the reply was... I had to wait till the 25th of the month for who knows what? It is now the 28th and I tried to register again and lo and behold, - still no phone number and still the old email address. Wow, I can't believe how difficult it is just to do a simple thing like change an email address. They also said they did have my cell number on record, so why does it not show up when I try to register?? All I wanted was get my computer shares tax certificate as my tax is due by the end of January. It is now a week later and nothing has changed. Everytime I want to register, it still has my old email address and no phone number. The last email I received today was that they are unable to provide me with a tax certificate and instead have given me what the shares were worth in 1998 and in 2001 ... so what does that help me? Every year I have received a tax certificate from Sanlam so why all of a sudden not this time? My shares are from approx 1983 or so. I really don't think they know what they are doing!
