Being bul**** by Sanlam

My Sanlam personal loan account went into arrears when I was unemployed. I battled to find a permanent job but was thankful when I managed to find contract jobs from time to time. I got my accounts up to date and managed to settle some smaller accounts. I continued paying arranged amounts to Sanlam but during this time however they handed my account over to debt collectors. I had to find proof of payment for previous payments because not all deposits made was reflected on my statement received from the debt collectors. I'm still having an issue because Sanlam refuses to update my balance on my credit record and the debt collectors have not received confirmation from Sanlam regarding a R9000 payment that was paid to Sanlam in August 2023. Sanlam is making it hard for me to find a permanent job because when potential employers view credit records and they see "arrears" it questions your character. I've asked the debt collectors to speak to Sanlam and they tell me I have to arrange with Sanlam to correct this ...when I call Sanlam they tell me they cant help because my account was handed over....Sanlam doesn't care.
