Be extremely careful with Sanlam

I have a loan with Sanlam against my policy. On 23/3/2105 I owed R26 789 according to their statement. On 1/4/2014 I paid R1000 by debitorder (in addition to my monthly premium) and now I owe R27 047. Either they are charging interest at a rate in excess of 100%, using the funds elsewhere or committing *****. I quesried it and the response I got was appalling to say the least. All of a sudden I had a premium debt, (despite the fact that I can prove I never missed a payment!!), the payment \is not taken into account when calculating the amount due and apparently you cannot pay the loans back via internet banking. <br> A further query was sent to try and get to the bottom of this but apart from an automated response I am unable to evoke any other response.
