Bank statement as an excuse not to pay
Please don't use Sanlam when looking for life insurance. They should change their motto to "we look for excuses not to pay" Disability claim was filed with company A and Sanlam. Same time and same reports... On that company A paid out and that money has been earning us an pension income. Sanlam wanted more report, in specific format, all at our cost. Traveling, appointment, accommodation and more tests all for our pocket. Then the wait for the dr to complete the report, as the dr tells you "this is taking time where I could have been making money. Report submit and few week later we received confirmation that Sanlam accepts the claim. So from August to Des🙈 I am the police holder, but hubby is the insured life. So I was told around the 10th of Des they wanted my bank account detail. So I submitted proof of account. Followed up with phone calls. Yes received... It will be paid on the 22nd. On the 22nd I phone again. Porche puts me on hold for 30 min. 😱 I Call again. Roberto this time answers and immediately tells me the proof of account is not good enough they must have bank statement to see if account is active. Yes I can block out all transactions. Really don't have energy for that. So just send him the bank statement. Phone again. Now payment will be made on 27th... Phone now at 8 am and phone is not answered. By the way. The account details given is the same account Sanlam monthly deducts their premium (huge amount) from and its the same account my enormous annuity (R250) is paid into... So you really want to tell me this is Sanlam s way of finding reasons for good services...
