Assupol sells a dream but does not show up when you need it the most.
What Assupol is doing to me and my family is very disappointing and disheartening. My wife joined the policy in October 2017 and we then had our late daughter in July 2020. On October 2020, 3 months after her birth, we added her on to Assupol.
Unfortunately, in March 2021 she passed away due to natural causes and we tried laying a claim with Assupol and they declined it. My wife laid a complaint after realising that Assupol did not meet their end of the bargain. On the signed contract, page 10 of the document, Assupol stated that "If new-born babies and new spouses are added within the first six months of birth or marriage, no waiting period will apply. If they are added after the first six months of birth or marriage, a six-month waiting period will apply."
We met all their requirements and approximately six month after the funeral they are still giving us a run around and treating us like *********. They had contacted us last week to inform us that they have noticed that clause and we should send the claim so that they resolve the matter. A week after we made a call today to the claims department to follow up on the issue and the lady who answered us told us rudely answered and made us feel wrong for claiming what rightfully belongs to us.
It's this big corporates that sell a dream to us and when comes time to prove their word they are quick to ignore your call and reject you in times of need. If you are reading this and you are considering this company, hope this review will help you make a wise decision. As we speak we are searching for a new insurer because when death comes knocking to your house this is not the treatment you will expect.
