24-48 hr payout WAS A LIE!!!

My mother died on Saturday the 20th and I lodged a claim on Monday the 22nd of January, today is the 29th of January and the proceeds are not in my bank account,

No notification came through to advise me of what was delaying the process or letting me know the status of my claim,

Sanlam sold me a lie that it pays in 24 -48hrs, its been a week long and my mother is already buried at much more additional costs than that expected has Sanlam paid my claim on time,

I went into the Branch and the Thuli Sibiya rendered a very helpful service and when she checked on the system she said that Nobuhke Mbewana captured all the claim information on the system and nothing was outstanding that could have held back the process, and when asked if there was any hold on the account she reassured there was absolutely nothing!

The time of submission was 13:16 by Nobuhle Mbewana on the 22/01/18 at Sanlam in Pinetown,

The lady Thuli put me through to Head Office and I spoke to one of the switchboard ladies and held for a very long time without being returned to only to find the call rang until it got cut, I tried again (Her name was Zandi Gama) she told me she is in Joburg and she cannot WALK to capetown, I then asked that she warm transfers me to the relevant department she again kept me holding and did not put me to the department which I had asked but straight to the Complaints Desk which I did not ask!

Right there I spoke to Ina Blomerus and demanded to speak to the manager which she said was in a meeting, (One Of the Greatest Call Centre Lies) she offered to give me a call back because I kept refusing to be assisted by her since she would not provide me with the information I needed which was to clear the turmoil behind the late payment of my policy, she kept speaking over me and mentioned that she would speak to the specialist for assistance and when I demanded to speak to that specialist she again transferred me for at least 20 minutes until there was a dead end on that call, I never got the PROCEEDS,MANAGER,GOOD SERVICE and SOLUTION!!

I have all the details of when the claim was made and even the confirmation email that all the documentation was sufficient,

I came into the Branch at about 8:30 am and Ina Blomerus said the amount will be paid into my account TODAY!! And it's this time and it has not come in,

The main concern is what exactly caused the delay, why wasn't I notified, and more demand a compensation for not being capable to give my Mother a dignified funeral when I had all the means to do so after investing with Sanlam for such a long time FOR THIS VERY REASON!!!

Sanlan actually admitted to me that it was their fault and that they are sorry, Mpho Amsterdam called at 9:24 am and reassured me that immediately the money is being paid out but there's still nothing on my account and its 15:12 pm,

Mpho reports to Hendrika Louw, Nobuhle Mbewana reports to Ramona Sharma in Pinetown,

I want to know what caused the delay, no one is answering that question, If the system was tampered with I need to know who did it and I demand a compensation for such an emotional and financial distress contibuted to by Sanlam in failing to payout my money in the time of their promise, outside of this payout how else could I have buried my mother?

What was the very initial purpose of getting the policy?

Earliest tomorrow I'm getting a case number and I'm submitting all the necessary documentation to the Magistrate Court since I'm not getting any sound response from Sanlam, the most unreliable Financial Institution.

I am also going to the newspapers tomorrow morning... watch me.

Ina Blomerus said she was going to call me once she had spoken with the Production Manager to finalise the compensation amount, she has just responded via EMAIL! that the business is giving me R500.00 as compensation, Compensation should not be anything less than what the policy paid out, the funeral expenses were not R500, no burial will ever amount to R500.00, I have attached with me all the copies of the funeral costs and it was over R60 000, AND YOU'RE TELLING ME FOR ALL THE DISGRACE AND SHAME YOU'VE PUT ME ANY FAMILY THROUGH R500.00 IS ENOUGH?, YOU ARE A BIG JOKE, I HAVE BEEN REFERRED TO OMBUDSMAN FOR THIS CASE FROM THE POLICE STATION. .

I have asked Ina to get a Manager to call me but she is still silent and gave me the details of a representative i don't want to speak to, it has been an hour already, prior to our latest communication she had tried to reach me but ofcourse i was busy but after that obviously we did speak via email and i wanted her manager but its been an hour long nothing has happened, not one has called. I have just checked all my documentation from Sanlam and your email says the claim takes about 2 - 4 weeks! REALLY?? I want a Manager to call me in 5 minutes!

I want a full report via email confirming when the policy claim was made, by whom it was made, when the money was released by Sanlam into my account, how much it was and what was the delay on your end and how much are you compensating me for and why, You can also include the amount that you paid on R500, This i need in 24 hours as i need to submit all the documentation by Monday, The email should have a Sanlam Letter Head, Thank you
