12 months no payout

My Father Past away in August of 2016 and he left me and my sister a policy from Sanlam. We enquired about the policy and started the claim process in September 2016, it take us a while to get all the documentation for the claim but in December of 2016 we submitted our first batch of documents. I waited a Month with no answer from Sanlam and called in only to find out that I missed a document and now had resubmit all the documents again, I had to do this on 2 other occasions. It is now September 2017 and there is still now claim payout.

Sanlam's Communication is extremely bad the worst, worse than Telkom SA and then is saying something, no feedback is given on how far your claim is and their claim tracking website doesn't work at all very bad design. I called Sanlam again today( 22/09/2017) after I was instructed to call them the week before on this date now they are telling me to call them back on the 11/10/2017. Why do I have to call Sanlam back I am not providing the service Sanlam is. I will never recommend or buy any of their products.

After a month I still have not received any payment, Sanlam's Board of Trustees had a decision to pay out the claim on the 27th of October 2017 after waiting 2 days I called in to find out about the payment and found that there has been a dispute logged for the boards decision, I was not informed about this at all no communication once again. A decision as now has to be made again by the board (not sure how long this will take), then call in again cause if I do not call in again I will never know what is happening, and then I have to wait another month for payment. This is the worst experience I have ever gone through. Will activity be tarnishing Sanlam from now on and will not ever recommend their services.

Good day Thank you for your response but this is truly unacceptable as the board has already made their decision even though they knew about this potential-dependent and have divided the funds. Now after waiting a month for the payout myself and my sister has to wait a further 5 days and then another month before the payout. How do you think this is the correct process to follow after the potential dependent only became aware of this policy after myself and my sister struggled 12 months to have your board agree on the payout. Like always we have to wait on your organization and their board to take their own sweet time to make a decision.
