Not refunding deposit

After having paid R14000 deposit on a R1800 rental vehicle it takes them ages to refund! It has now been a week since I returned the car and NOW they are requesting a proof of bank account number. In the meantime the funds are sitting in their bank account attracting interest! BAD SERVICE - I have rented vehicles at other rental agencies and never experienced this kind of delay in refunding what is legally mine.
