Check your hired vehicles meticulously!

I recently had an unpleasant experience with SANI. I was in Cape Town for work and needed a little car for two days. When I returned the car to the airport one of their employees discovered a spare tire was missing from the boot. I was not aware of this. There was no damage to the car and no other items were missing, like the tools to fit the tire. The company had cashed in my R3800 holding deposit without much willingness to meet me half way, or to listen to my side of the story. They wanted to ‘cover their damage’. I do believe that their employees either forgot to place the spare tire, or this is another way of getting more money out of their customers. Disappointed.
