BAD

Please explain to me how it's possible to have a car rental company but do not have any insurance on their vehicles if it causes a accident. We were involved in a accident and contacted the rental agency. I sent the accident report along with the photos. I was told they cannot assist I should take it up with the driver of the car? The driver ( who rented the car) said that he paid the company and that he also paid for the insurance. So now I have to be without a car and struggle every single day because no one want to take responsibility for this. And there is no one who want to assist!!!!!
