"Paid R500 for a job that was never completed — avoid Duncan" Hired Sandton Locksmith in March to repair my bathroom lock. Duncan came out, took payment of R500 directly into his account, and left the job incomplete. When I followed up, he kept saying he was "checking with the office" about a refund — which went on for weeks with no resolution. When I contacted the Sandton Locksmith office directly, they told me payment was between me and the contractor. So I'm being bounced between the two with no refund and a lock that still isn't fixed. I followed up in writing, gave a clear deadline, and was ignored completely. R500 isn't a massive amount, but the principle is clear — this is a contractor who takes your money, doesn't finish the job, and then goes silent. Would not recommend Sandton Locksmith to anyone. If something goes wrong, don't expect the business to back you up either.
