Wesbank FNB Loan gaining Interest
I am confused. When I started debt counselling I was told that all my accounts will be in debt counselling and that my interest will be cut. Now I find that FNB says that I am still paying full interest on my statement that I received. When I called FNB they refuse to speak to me and say I must speak to the debt counsellor. I have asked sandton debt counselling to resolve this matter but after three days I still have no final answer. Candice said that she will resolve the matter, but I am sorry, 3 days waiting for an answer is way too long. Get your stuff sorted out or lose me as a client.
Good Day Gerhard,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We have investigated as to why you have waited 3 days for an answer, as this does not fall within our 24-hour turnaround time policy.
We received your query at 4pm on Friday 20 July. Unfortunately, by that time it was too late to communicate and receive feedback from FNB as it was over the weekend.
The query was however sent to FNB and we received feedback today.
FNB had a problem on their side where they did not adjust the interest rate according to the proposal. This has now been rectified and they have written back the interest that they have charged.
Candice has since contacted you telephonically to inform you.

The Sandton Debt Counselling Team
