Warranty service Istore Sandton and Apple in general

On October 10th 2022 I bought a charging cable for my Iphone at the Istore in Sandton City Shopping Mall. After using the cable 4 times it start overheating and the plug that enters t into the iphone got a crack. I went back to the shop with my ticket and they looked in their computersystem to see if there was warranty on the cable. On their system screen there was a picture of the exactly same damage as my cable and they said in that case their was no warranty. SO they already had many times this problem as the failure is in their system with a picture. After sending in the cable to customers service they refuse to give me a new cable. THey send me a quote to repair the cable of a total amount of R 1200 and a new cable only cost R 499. I was always a Samsung customer and bought recently an Notebook Air - an Imac and a cell phone for myself and my wife. If this is the customers service from Apple that I think a lot of people must reconsider to buy still Apple things in the future. Their service is worthless !
