Sandton City Bathroom Cleaning lady VIOLENT with customer!!

<p>On Saturday 9 July 16 at 14:55 I went into the BABY bathroom on the sixth floor opposite Mamas and Papas. Firstly, the baby bathroom was not clean and smelled terrible. Secondly there was no key in the key hole which means I was not able to lock the bathroom from inside. As a breastfeeding mother, it makes it impossible for me to breastfeed without the door being locked as I am not able to keep the door closed (when people burst into the bathroom) sitting on the chair with my baby in my arms breastfeeding!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>As I had no other choice I started feeding my baby sitting on the chair facing the door. Luckily my husband returned from the shop and joined me in the baby bathroom, sitting on the floor behind the door. The next moment a cleaning lady started to push open the door and I made it clear “There’s someone in here”. The lady rep**** “I know” AND PROCEEDED BY ENTERING THE BATHROOM! My husband (still sitting on the floor) managed to push the door closed with his one foot although half of her body was inside the bathroom already. I asked her “What are you doing” and she sarcastically rep**** “I am cleaning”. I told her “I am breastfeeding go out” after which she told me she did not know I was in there (still pushing the door open to enter while telling me this!). I told her she knew I was in there as she told me “I know” when I initially told her that there is someone in the bathroom and she proceeded to enter. I told her again “Go out I am breastfeeding and I am going to report you to the management”. She told me “Don’t you scream at me” and VIOLENTLY attacked the door, hitting and kicking it and AGGRESSIVELY PUSHING TO ENTER THE BATHROOM. At this stage my husband had stood up from the floor and leaned against the door in order to stop her. While hitting and kicking the door, she shouted “I am going to report YOU to management!” while other customers passed her in the hallway. She hit and kicked the door for a while longer (my husband still leaning against it and telling her to go away).</p> <p> </p> <p>This incident traumatised me to a great extent. What did she plan on doing if she could push open the door? If it was not for my husband forcing the door closed, I am certain she would have hurt me taking her violent behaviour into account. When I left the bathroom after a half an hour of breastfeeding, the lady was nowhere to be found. Another cleaning lady in the bathroom (Her name was Toro) said it was the “reliever cleaner” and she was not sure but her name is Rachael. This is totally unacceptable to me. What type of dangerous people does Sandton City employ? Do you have any track record of your staff? Don’t you teach them proper (and basic!) manners when working with customers? And most importantly – whey does your baby room DON’T HAVE A KEY? During that half an hour I was breastfeeding, my husband had to stop 8 people from opening the door – because it is not locked people just push open the door!! It is impossible to keep the door closed while sitting and breastfeeding on the chair (mounted to the floor) on the opposite side of the bathroom!! It is not safe to let that cleaning lady deal with public and I expect feedback on what you are going to do about/with her!!</p>
