No accountability for elevators causing injury and damage

On 2 October 2017 my colleagues and I were on our way to the roof when we took the elevators close to the ABSA bank to go to the roof. The elevators opened on the 7th floor instead of the 8th and as we started to exit we realised it was the wrong floor and returned back into the lift. The lift door sensor did not work and subsequently "closed" on me while I was walking back into the lift. The door slammed my cellphone out of my hand and also slammed against both my arms hurting me in the process. I immediately reported it to Sandton City who said that they will investigate the matter and report back to me. It is now over 2 weeks and the only responses I have gotten (not because they called me but because I kept calling them) was that they will get back to me. No acceptance of the incident, no apology and no form of compensation have been made and still I have no feedback on the matter. What if this happened to a child or an elderly person? Is this the type of client service we can expect from one of the "best" malls in Gauteng?
