ABUSE; ASSAULT AND HUMILIATION

On 21 August my partner and I took two female medicine students from Wits University out for lunch at Sandton City Shopping Centre, a friend of ours also joined us. On arrival we took some pictures at the Winnie and Nelson Mandela statues then proceeded to the food court. While deciding on a restuarant a group of guys lead by a one eyed gentleman surrounded us demanding that we go with them. When I refused to go, the one guy smacked me all this in the presence of other shoppers and our students.

Not knowing what was happening, we questioned who they were and why were we manhadled. We could not get any answer from them, all we could get from them was " You will know when we get there". One of the guys kept telling my partner to SHUT UP as she kept asking what the problem was, he went as far as saying " IF YOU DON'T SHUT UP, I'M GOING TO SMACK THE **** OUT OF YOU. SO MUCH FOR SANDTON CITY SHOPPING CENTRE SUPPORTING GBV MONTH. We were assaulted, humaliated and dragged like ********* infront of other shoppers. The poor girls were so confused and traumatized by what happened in that shopping mall. When we got to the control room, these guys started disappearing one by one as they realized that we had done nothing wrong.
