BMW Sandton shocking quotation

I took in my vehicle for battery check but they insisted they have to do a computer check to see what the actual problem was. I agreed as it is their protocol. Got a quotation for R33,401. I went in to query on the quotation. I requested to see the newly identified problems which I was not aware of eg oil leak. I asked to see where the oil leaked but there was NO oil leak anywhere. Workshop manager said the items were erroneously included on the quote. How so, if computer has identified the problems. So I asked what else was included that was not supposed to be there? The Technician who was attending to the car looked disappointed as I kept on querying to understand the nature of these new sudden problems. In my opinion, they had ordered parts for someone else and it would seem they put them on my car and I pay for something that was never put there. They asked me not to pay for the quotation fees (R1,3k) saying they had put me through enough mess already. They wanted to keep the car overnight to charge the battery and I demanded to take my car with as I did not need a battery charge but buying a new one. Nothing about the 2015 battery was on the quotation. Please ensure you understand what is being done to your car and understand, if it needs physical inspection please do - Otherwise you will be a victim of **************** all in the name of being serviced in Sandton!
