Prejudice? They will treat you like trash!

I moved into a place in Paulshof a year ago. A great place but the experience we had with Sandra Solomon Properties was disgusting. I'm not sure why they'd assign someone who clearly can't deal with people such an important role.

Realtors deal with people and not numbers. They deal with people looking for homes but we were treated like dirt from day one. We aren't sure why. Their agents are short tempered and are looking to hustle you.

How can they hustle me you ask? When I moved in (apart from receiving bad attitude) I was handed a packet full of light bulbs to install myself, and rushed for a short list of defects. There were things in the apartment that were "fixed" like door handles and faucets but a week and a half in, the items eventually break. I brought in a handyman and he tells me that nothing was fixed, just temporary measures were taken. I've heard a rumor that they bill for irrelevant repairs then pocket the money. That one bugs me so if someone can confirm this let me know, I feel that this is happening to me. As a lessor this directly affects you too.

Then, the grime. I figured my wife and I would clean up ourselves no biggie. We were left with patchy paintwork and a stain on the wall that the agent told us to cover up if we don't want to paint it ourselves. True story! Our domestic spent a day and a half cleaning through the rushed job done by who ever Sandra Solomon Properties hired. It didn't phase me too much though, plus I'm always on the road so dealing with all this was a mission.

A year later and its time to hand over. My wife and I have our DIY stuff ready for inspection (should anything go wrong and we need to touch up). Andria Solomon, a very shrewd human being immediately lets us know that what we are doing is unacceptable. At this point we've moved all our stuff out the apartment apart from the DIY stuff and items we'd kept outside that we were donating to the wonderful guards at Bogoria. (They really are wonderful)

Now this part may be my mistake, but we weren't really informed. If something isn't up to spec who fixes it? Sandra Solomon Properties would then hire a company of their choice at my cost right? But I can easily fix these things so I was there ready, to sort out anything that's needed. But it turns out that this is wrong. I was rudely told how inconvenient all this was and that there's absolutely no time for any attention to be paid to my unit and the state that it was in. My wife then mentioned that she was rude which erupted into a huge argument which showed us how little etiquette Sandra Solomon's representatives have.

Andria was shouting at us so loudly that it caught the attention of the guards who later came to us to check if we were ok. It's then that we realised that we weren't the only ones. The guards told us that that's how she usually carries herself. If you, the reader, have had an experience like this with them please let us know. We don't expect Sandra Solomon or her representatives to give us anything constructive based on the experience that we've had.

This experience has left me with many questions... 1. Why the prejudice? 2. Why are there such rude, unprofessional people at Sandra Solomon Properties? 3. Are the rumors true that Sandra Solomon Properties take money from the lessee's deposit for repairs that they don't take care of? (This would make sense to me so someone please get back to me) 4. Does Sandra Solomon Properties realise that PEOPLE move into their properties and not statistics?

I contributed over R100k over the past year only to be treated like ****. I've been renting over 8 years in various areas due to my profession and this is the only company I have had a problem with. My track record is strong so take it from me...I strongly suggest you avoid Sandra Solomon Properties. AGAIN, I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU AVOID THESE PEOPLE.
