Mercedes Benz Sandown are ****** – trust them at your own risk
Absolutely disgusting and ********* behaviour from Mercedes Benz Sandown, this company should not to be trusted! I was assisted by a service consultant Emily Mthini and she gave me a quotation of R67000 to fix my 2010 c200, I took the car elsewhere for a second opinion and I was told it was just a lose pipe feeding into the engine so they fixed it for FREE!
I was shocked! It was such an embarrassing easy fix that the workshop I’d found refused to charge me. It made me wonder what else Mercedes Sandown had done to me over the years. My mistake was considering them to be reputable experts and I was too trusting. Blindly believing it was the best place to take my mercedes year after year.
They know that most people who come with their cars are not mechanics so they take advantage. Since my vehicle was 10 years old and the engine light was showing an orange light I believed the so called experts at Mercedes Sandown when they gave me a quotation of R67,000 to repair my vehicle. They made me think that the vehicle was very damaged, the sad part is that at first I seriously considered paying R67000.
When I decided not to fix the vehicle with them they charged me R2000 for the inspection. Not only that, but they did not even provide me with a written quotation, this is something I had to contact them for later and specifically request. Completely ********** charges for inspection as I am not sure what they were inspecting if they couldn’t even detect a lose pipe. Shame on you for calling yourselves Mercedes Benz and for making a living by being dishonest to your customers.
I had been a customer of Mercedes Sandown for more than eight years. Eight years of being fooled by these ******.
