POOR SERVICE

On Thursday 5th January we visited the Restaurant at around 7pm. iT WAS NOT TOO BUSY. It was windy and fairly cold, unpleasant on the deck outside, although the canopy walls have been let down to break the wind. We fortunately had a table open inside. I noticed other patrons arrive and undecidedly, and reluctantly, sat outside, and quickly claimed the first free table inside when a spot opened up. We noticed there was at least place for some 3 further tables inside. All that the staff would have to do is carry the tables inside, out of the unpleasant wind. When I noticed patrons arrive and reluctantly sit outside in the cold and wind, the staff`s response to moving the tables was that it would mean moving the furniture around !!! Lazy excuse. I felt ashamed of their laziness. I received my bill and no pen was provided, so I could not add the tip on the bill. When the waitress asked if this was the amount, or if I wanted to add an amount, I said I would if I had a pen ... her response was a poor "Oh, people just tell me the amount". Poor and really not consumer/patron-oriented waiters. The manager was no-where to be seen.
